Fox and Hound
Fox and Hound is a restaurant set up as a English pub and they
focus on providing lots of televisions for watching games. It
is a great place to watch a game, but I can't say it's great for
anything else. Today, I went over to Fox and Hound located in
North Hills because Monday is $0.35 wing day. It isn't my first
choice for lunch or my second, but I was just going along with
the crowd.
In the past I haven't had the best dining experience with Fox
and the Hound. Generally they are really, really slow and have
mediocre food. It was not very crowded, probably about 5 or 6
tables of people when I arrived. Our table ordered about 15 wings,
fries, texas toast, and one of their basil pesto pizzas with chicken.
I don't expect for bar food to be great, but if you are charging
a premium like Fox and the Hound does for their food, then it
should be good. After an extremely long wait the food came out.
It was a tight race, but I think that the french fries won out
over the cardboard pizza for the best part of the meal. The wings
were ok and my sweet tea just tasted strange.
Summing it all up, the food isn't great, the service is slow,
and they are overpriced. If you're looking to grab a drink and
watch the game then this might be your place, but I recommend
eating before you go.
